What to Do and See on Your Nantucket Yacht Charter

Explore the Island on Bike
With more than 35 miles of bike trails, Nantucket is best explored via bicycle. A few favorite routes: Take the Madaket Road Path from the historic downtown to Madaket Beach or Eel Point. At Eel Point, you’ll be rewarded with amazing views of Nantucket Sound at the 100-acre preserve, and Madaket is a beautiful dune-backed outpost.
See the Nantucket Lighthouses
Nantucket is home to three historic lighthouses, each more beautiful than the last. Great Point Lighthouse is a must-see. Built in 1818, the stately white-stone tower sits in the lush Coskata-Coatue Wildlife Reserve. Sankaty Head Lighthouse is another beauty, which offers breathtaking views of the Atlantic.
Miacomet Golf Course
Why not try some golfing while on your yacht charter? Nantucket is home to several public and private golf clubs, but one of the finest is the Miacomet Golf Course. With its lush fairways and fast greens, the course looks like a Scottish links-style course. The course is challenging, yet playable, and there are tee options for all skill levels. Bottom line: If you want to hit the links, head to Miacomet.
Take the Sconset Bluff Walk
The Sconset Bluff Walk (or Cliff Walk, as its commonly called) puts on a show of Nantucket’s natural beauty. The path departs from Siasconset, a quaint village, out to Sankaty Head Lighthouse, and hugs the Atlantic coast. It’s known for being lined with cedar-shingled cottages that are covered in roses in the summer months. The walk is leisurely, and the views can’t be missed.
